iMedX is led by an accomplished team averaging 25 years experience bringing together commercial proficiency with deep Australian hospital and healthcare expertise. They know that every detail matters, superior quality is essential, and client satisfaction must always come first.

The leadership team is supported by additional 12 head-office staff who assist in support, service delivery and operations, based in Melbourne.


Alex Zacher

Acting Managing Director

As Acting Managing Director, Alex oversees the regional growth strategy at iMedX Australia and New Zealand.

Alex is a client-focused people leader who gains the most satisfaction achieving the organisation’s growth objectives. He loves solution selling and communicating value – and very passionate in the process. Alex has extensive experience in Transcription and Healthcare allowing him to tailor workflows and implementations that exceed client expectations. He has a passion for delivering innovative solutions that result in cost savings and productivity gains for his clients.

Highly responsive and driven, Alex will ensure your partnership with iMedX is a success.

Alex joined iMedX in 2012 after living and studying in Germany, and has a Bachelor of Technology from Swinburne University, Victoria.


Lisette Bicknell

Operations Director 

In this role Lisette is responsible for delivery of high quality transcription typing services across for iMedX’s 450 clients across Australia and New Zealand.

Lisette has an undergraduate degree in Applied Science (Medical Record Administration) and has worked for over 20 years in a range of public health organisations and programs. This includes large public hospitals, a health software company and population health registries. Lisette recently held the position of Vaccination Operations Manager, National HPV Vaccination Program Register (operated by VCS Ltd on behalf of the Commonwealth Department of Health)

Lisette has worked closely with key service providers and stakeholders at organisational, state and national levels to implement large scale systems and processes, including facilitating change management initiatives, to support ongoing service delivery and future objectives.

Lisette is committed to working with clients and stakeholders to deliver high quality and timely medical transcription services that exceed current and future company and client requirements.


Karen Dawson

Revenue Cycle Management Director

As Director of Revenue Cycle Management, Karen oversees the management and business development of all clinical coding, audit and consulting services.

Karen Dawson has 30 years experience as a Health Information Manager, including management of Health Information Services, incorporating Coding Services, and implementing Doctor/speciality liaison programs to ensure accurate information capture for casemix funding/activity based funding models.

She previously owned and operated her own coding business for 17 years, having been the first provider of independent revenue cycle/coding audits/health fund contract compliance audits for private hospitals.

She is passionate about helping healthcare providers improve accuracy, timelines and efficiency of their revenue cycle/admission to cash processes.

In addition to Health Information Management qualifications, Karen has a Bachelor of Health Administration from the UNSW and a Grad. Dip. in Industrial Relations/Human Resource Management.


Shona Jackett

Solutions & Delivery Director

As Director of Solutions & Delivery, Shona oversees the management and implementation of iMedX service lines and solutions, including health consulting, transcription implementation and product development.

Shona is a senior transformational leader, holding an MBA, she is accomplished in strategy, operations, proposition development and innovation.

Shona leads with a genuine and open style bringing to the table a mix of marketing, business and technology competency. Shona has a proven track record in end-to-end operations, commercial business management, product development and program delivery.

Shona’s track record includes delivering a business transformation to improve EBIT by 40%, scaling a business to deliver national service provision and drive product development delivering revenue growth.

Shona is a health & wellness industry expert and her specialties span from business & general management, resource planning & management and operations management  to business strategy and strategic management.


Carmel Wells

Finance Director

As Finance Manager, Carmel oversees and performs all end to end functions of the finance department for iMedX. Carmel joined iMedX in 2016. Since joining iMedX, Carmel has implemented a number of improved billing and reporting processes, delivering streamlined back-end services to clients.

With over 20 years financial experience, Carmel has a high attention to detail, and is passionate about accuracy in all internal and external financial reporting, taking pride in delivering such information to clients and management in a timely manner. Carmel has a Bachelor of Business (Accounting) from Swinburne University and is a Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA)
